Studio Ocea is my love letter to the ocean - its depth, movement, and the emotions it quietly holds.Hi, I’m Snehal, the artist behind Studio Ocea, based in Toronto. I create handmade mixed-media artworks inspired by ocean ripples, marine life, and the gentle movement of water.
I have a unique relationship with the ocean - I’m aquaphobic, yet deeply drawn to it. I’m both in love with and quietly terrified of deep water. Art became my way of exploring the underwater world from a place of safety, curiosity, and imagination. Through texture, layering, and resin, I translate that feeling into pieces that feel calm, immersive, and alive.
Every artwork is created by hand in my home studio through a slow, layered process that involves sculpting texture, refining form, and finishing with resin to capture depth, light, and movement. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, shaped by intuition and care.
Studio Ocea is supported by my husband, Mandar Kashikar, whose background in product management, marketing, and strategy consulting helps shape the brand, storytelling, and overall experience—allowing me to stay focused on creating meaningful art.
My hope is that each piece brings a sense of calm, presence, and quiet connection into your space.
